I adopted Bebo when he was about 2 months old. After having him for about a month I noticed he didn't really follow objects in front of him, especially when I was playing with him. He also began bumping into walls and stopped running around the house the way kittens do. I quickly made an appointment with the vet and they confirmed that he was born with a rare case of cataracts. They said he could be cured with surgery once he is 10 months old, but in order to fix both eyes it would cost approximately $5,000. As I am a student, have a part-time job, and pay for all my cat's expenses, this surgery seems an impossibility and out of the question. Yet I can't help but feel heartbroken at the idea that he will never be able to see again. I would love to give him the opportunity to be able to see. I sincerely appreciate any donations made. It would mean the world!
