Hi. I'm Lou Faralan. I am a retired US Navy veteran, a father of two, & a full-time martial arts teacher here in the Pacific Northwest.
Over the last 8 years I have been fighting cancer, leukemia, to be exact, and I would like to ask for your support
I am issuing a personal challenge and fundraising event. I am calling it 100 in 100, and here is the plan.
Because of my medical condition, I have been unable to spar or train hard with my students and others. Now given my chosen field, you can imagine how limiting this obstacle may be for me. But I have found through this that we are beings of virtually limitless potential.
So, the challenge is this: over the next 100 days, I will be sharing 100 lessons alongside my teachers, martial arts colleagues, coaches, fighters, and friends... to not only raise funds; but even more so, to raise awareness that the martial arts can enhance, enrich and extend your life.
Why the fundraiser? Through the course of these last 6 years - because of chemotherapy treatments, hospitalizations, medicines and such, I have amassed upwards to $100,000 in medical debt. Until I am fully cured these figures will show no sign of decreasing. I am still sick, and I am still in need of medical care.
So I am asking for your help. Through crowd funding on this site and PayPal, would you please, consider financially sponsoring me and partnering with me in this challenge?
