Phoenix, AZ – Real Talk Louanna will be holding her 5th annual What if Christmas Forgot About You a Christmas party that benefits children who are victims of child sex trafficking and abused children in the foster care system. The event will take place on December 16th at a private location.
Christmas time should be a time of joy and happiness for children but for kids in foster care, the holidays are often a sad reminder of what it means not to have a family. Kids in foster care miss the comfort of knowing that they always have a place where they are always welcome, year after year. They don’t know what it is like to have family traditions such as decorating a Christmas tree and opening Christmas presents on Christmas day. A lot of the children lack simplest things that ordinary people take for granted like haircuts and body wash unless they are on “good behavior.”
Real Talk Louanna local radio personality form KNRJ 101.1 FM the Beat who is a survivor of child sex trafficking and knows firsthand about the foster care system and lack of concern from the community. She created this event 5 years ago in order to let these children know that they are not alone.
KNRJ 101.1 FM the Beat have partnered up with Real with Louanna to bring awareness not only to child sex trafficking but to show these children that the community cares and will be a part of their future.
