Darrell Eugene Troudt, age 60, of Fort Collins, CO passed away Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at home. He was born at Poudre Valley Hospital to Irvin Troudt and Dorothy Kaltenberger in 1957. He attended schools in Poudre School District including Blevins Jr. High, Poudre High School, and Rocky Mountain High School graduating in 1975. He went on to attend CU Boulder where he played football. He married JoLynn Martinez in 1981 and they farmed in the Greeley area. He worked for Poudre Pre-Mix for many years. He also worked for ADM Alliance Nutrition Inc. Most recently he was employed by North 287 Storage as a manager. Darrell enjoyed watching drag racing and football. He was a loyal fan of the CU Buffs and Denver Broncos. He also liked wood working, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He liked cooking and his specialty was green chile. He loved John Wayne movies,"El Dorado" in particular. He was an outstanding athlete and loved track and field. He held records for the shot put and discus at Rocky Mountain High School. Darrell had great admiration for fellow athletes, coaches, and friends. His favorite place was Glacier View and having lunch on the family lot. He also enjoyed vacations to Mexico and traveled to several different destinations. His two grand babies meant the world to him! Darrell is survived by his wife JoLynn of 36 years, daughter Nicole (Andre Ray) of Loveland, CO, son Kirk (Melissa), granddaughters Edith Mae and Vivian Rose of Greeley, CO, father Irvin Troudt of Fort Collins, CO, sister Diana (Wade), niece Kaylie, nephew Wyatt Warberg of Fort Collins, CO, beloved Martinez family as well as numerous beloved cousins, and family members. He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and nephew Brady. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at www.GoFundMe.com/Darrell-Troudt-Memorial. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 30 at 1 pm, at Drake Centre, 802 W. Drake Road.
