Let's Build Alkebulan Together

Donation protected
We, members of the African Diaspora are working together to collectively build the first ever fully sustainable repatriate city on the African soil. A place where our displaced African brothers and sisters from around the world can bring their skills, resources and families home to thrive in a collective environment that's mutually beneficial for us all.

AFTER  4 0 0  YEARS  DISPLACED FROM THEIR  HOMELAND OUR BROTHERS  A N D  SISTERS  I N  THE DIASPORA  ARE COMING  HOME.

As record numbers of Afro-Diasporans from the United States, Europe, The Caribbean and South America return to Africa in search of  reconnecting and productive opportunities, the Alkebulan Development Group works directly with the most educated, skilled, resourceful and professionally experienced repatriates to establish themselves and their businesses firmly within the collective Alkebulan family and community.

We are raising $300M in funds to obtain land, lay infrastructure, build agricultural farms, manufacturing facilities, educational and medical institutions and other sustainable projects to ensure our ability to thrive independently.

We are inviting the global Diaspora community to contribute to this historic project.

• 100% of your contributions will go to the the developing the city of ALKEBULAN
• We have partner organizations establishing a soft landing pad in nearby GAMBIA to help repatriates learn the language, the culture and get acclimated to the new environment.

The Senegalese government helps large private organizations obtain land so long as the economic backing is available to develop it. Our goal is to obtain 400-600 hectares of buildable land in rural Senegal.

WHO ARE WE?

My wife’s name is Aliyah and mine is Rashad “RJ” Grant-Mahdi (most call me RJ Mahdi). Like the majority of Afro Diasporans we were looking for a safe and sustainable environment to raise our family and build collectively when we made the decision to move here to Senegal West Africa  4 ½ years ago from the U.S.. With little to our name except each other and a small but welcoming community of like minded brothers and sisters, we took a leap of faith and set out to build our new home in the Motherland. We couldn’t have made a better choice.

As Pan-Africans we understand how much we need Africa and Africa needs us. We always planned to be productive and to help lead the way for other brothers and sisters in the Diaspora who are seeking a way out of the homes of their historic oppressor like we did. We became a source for information as an open window for those behind us when thousands of others began emailing and contacting us for help making the big move.

Since 2014 we have invested every bit of time, energy and finances into creating media that educates our communities on Africa and Senegal in particular, building bridges that connect resources in the diaspora with opportunities in Africa and welcoming countless visitors and repatriates from the Diaspora to tour, relocate or connect professionally on the ground.

Now as we step into the “Year of Return” we are stepping out on faith once again to build our own repatriate city from the ground up.  A city with all the necessary social and economic resources for its residents.

If we are serious about living safely,  sustainably, independently and progressively then we will be serious about investing in such an environment and the time is now!

The African Union and various Heads of State are welcoming the Diaspora home at a HISTORIC time marking 400 years since our unfortunate displacement and 100 years since the efforts of Marcus Garvey.  However, NO OTHER organization or institution has offered solutions to FUND this return and it’s ONGOING sustainability.

We have created extensive project development plans and done extensive ON THE GROUND research, trial and error, brokered dozens of investment projects and partnered with countless local businesses, organizations, institutions, personalities and administrations to make this very moment possible!

This won’t be easy, but it’s our duty as members of the collective Diaspora body to be the sustainable economic change we’re looking for and you have our word that we will see it through!

How will we get the funds to the right place? We have contacted the Senegalese Government to secure a point of contact where all the funds will go upon completion for acquisition of lands. Our legal team met with the High Commission of The Gambia (where we plan to create a landing pad operation) just days ago to present evidence to have us acknowledged as citizens. We will also be presenting this same case in Senegal. When we get this information secured we will update. We have many very high level contacts already helping here on the ground as well as in the U.S., the Caribbean, U.K. and more.

• Our Economic Development Team has mapped out commercial projects that will employ up to 10,000 residents from both the local and Diaspora communities.

• We are working with a law firm to establish an economic development committee to act as decision makers for all collected funds and the projects they finance.

• We will hold all funds and not release a single penny until we have all legal aspects covered to ensure our money goes only to developing the city of ALKEBULAN.
