ANGELS WHO CAN SAVE PAT'S LIFE!

For 25 years, Pat Agah was an intensive care nurse, looking after people who were hovering between life and death. Her smile had a calming energy that gave her patients hope. Now, she's the one who needs the hope.
There was a time when Pat taught other nurses how to attend to someone who was battling for their lives. "Never forget that the woman lying there is someone's mother. Someone's daughter... sister... and friend. When you help to bring her back to life, you touch so many people in unimaginable ways," said Pat. When a patient is unconscious or unable to care for themselves, trust is the invisible strand that binds us all. TRUST. Trust that a stranger will care enough to save someone else's life.
Pat was diagnosed with Lupus in 1993. At that time, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to see her two small children graduate from school.
"It was difficult to breath, walk or function in the world," said Pat. Her lungs were giving out. Blessedly, she was able to get a stem cell treatment to replenish the life force that still remained in her body.
Then, Pat's kidneys began to fail. After multiple hospitalizations, she became the patient. A twist of fate. Once she had been the intensive careING nurse, NOW, Pat came face to face with the inevitable: get another stem cell treatment to save her kidneys ... or lose her life.
"I love being a nurse. Helping people is my calling. Being on the sidelines in life is excruciating. I NEED HELP," shared Pat. Her voice went up an octave, an indication of how hard it is to be the one asking for help.
Pat's warm smile fools most. "I put on makeup, which masks the pain that I feel on a day to day basis. My friends say, 'You look good,' yet the struggle is bone deep."
Imagine what it would be like if your dream was to take another breath. Pat was once the hovering angel that pulled people through the fight of their lives. This is an urgent plea on her behalf. Please HELP!
TELL US ABOUT A MIRACLE
One time, in the ICU, there was a man who was bleeding out. I saw his life force leave his body. As I worked on him, one could feel life swoop back into him. When he woke up, I said, "Where did you go?" We laughed. Both of us had witnessed a miracle from two different vantage points.

HAVE YOU EVER LOST FAITH?
At first, I shed a lot of tears asking, "Why now? Why did this happen to me? Did I do something wrong?" Now, I have learned to have more faith. I know that God is not all the way over there. He is not punishing me. God has pulled me through. I've been through so much already. Yet, I'm still here!

JOIN TEAM PAT!

We've all needed help. As you know, the hardest thing of all is asking for what we need. Yet, when it's a matter of life and death, we get on our knees and pray that our message will get to the right people. Everyone's an angel ... now we're asking: Please reach out and fluff up your wings!
THANK YOU!
