Bike Vs Car "The Accident"

Not many people know me, but my name is Katie. *Update as of 12/01/16  These funds kept me going to live  househalt and pay the bare minimum for medical expenses in order to keep getting treatment. Please see my latest campaign on filing bankruptcy in order to get home I just recently moved from Florida, from everything I knew to come and start my own life out here in Texas. I got a good job, in a kitchen, thanks to a good friend, and with no money or any form of transportation, so I invested in a bycicle to get to work every day.  I was doing really good, working hard, trying to make it on my own until 6/22 at 5pm, on my ride home from work, I got hit by a car on my bicycle, going 45mph.  Having no family in this state, and only one friend, I got to the hospital after shattering the drivers windshield, having my leg bone sticking out of my skin in the middle of the road. My inguries included a completely shattered ankle, two broken bones in my leg, and I had to have surgery to save my life with internal bleeding. I now have 2 rods in my right leg, and 4 screws. I go back on the 11th to see how long this will keep me out of work, but with no income I'm struggling to get a lawyer let alone medical bills, rent, and food.  If you donate, this will help me get ubers to hospital appointments, finding a lawyer, medications, and my place of staying. Please, please I don't normally beg but I don't know what else I can do. Anything helps from $1-$10. I'm just grateful to be alive, considering EMT's said I should have died on impact (Since the car was going roughly 45MPH), but luckily I was wearing a helmet. The Medical Bills Consist of: Ambulance Ride (7.3 miles) $1,400 (tried to take a car) (http://health.costhelper.com/ambulance.html) Surgery for both rods in leg + 4 screws Roughly around $2,500  (http://health.costhelper.com/broken-leg.html) A Week in the Hospital Tuesday Night 6/23 - Monday Evening 6/27 were the days in the Plano Medical Center. Texas  State/local government hospitals — $2,759   Nonprofit hospitals — $2,337           For-profit hospitals — $1,803 So rougly around $19,313 (http://www.beckershospitalreview.com/finance/average-cost-per-inpatient-day-across-50-states.html) I Moved to Texas on 5/17, so I haven't been at my job for 90 days to qualify for my healthcare benefits yet, and I'm still working on goverment assistance since i'm within a 60 day move. I'll post an update on Tuesday 7/5 seeing as Monday is a holiday. No Lawyer will represent my case, due to the police report stating it was my fault, this is all on me, please share.
